i got the autumn 2006 paper wasp in the mail today. i was really surprised by this because i didn't know i was going to be in it. what's really cool about this is that this journal is from australia and tony thompson, coffe.tea.haiku, who lives only about 45 minutes away from me is in this issue as well. i have never met the guy but i think that it is pretty cool that we are representing texas haiku in australia. i'm on page 15 with the haiku below.

also, i'll be updating this blog with new haiku as soon as i get out of this lazy funk. if you have free time, go check out "old story new," a new blog with some writing experiments and exercises in the realm of flash fiction and 55 word count fiction.

dustin - as a frustrated fiction writer, the premise behind "old story new" fascinates me. must the story be exactly 55 words?
